Swami Vivekananda's Message

Swami

Swami Vivekananda was a highly influential figure in India’s spiritual and cultural history. He was a charismatic speaker and a passionate advocate for education, spirituality, and social justice. His words continue to inspire millions of people around the world, and his teachings continue to shape Indian thought and culture. Swami Vivekananda believed that education is a tool of liberation from darkness and ignorance. He embraced education and believed that it should prepare the individual for the struggle for existence. According to him, education is incomplete without the teaching of aesthetics or fine arts, and the knowledge of values and not of facts was his aim of education. Vivekananda believed that education is the manifestation of divinity already existing in man, and that knowledge resides within the individual himself. His scheme of education includes studies necessary for the all-around development of the body, mind and soul of the individual.
Swamiji’s Precious Thoughts: “We want that education by which character is formed, the strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.”
